Sweet Ezzy, we love you so much and have had the best time watching you grow this past year. You stayed up late tonight (you usually go to bed around 5:45pm), and I just happened to be nursing you to sleep during the very minutes you were born. As the clock turned to 6:33pm, I was reminded how you are still the same little boy you were growing in my body. You were always laid back, not in a big hurry (even at your birth) and are still this way. You like to be very sure of things before you do them. If you aren't 100% sure in your head that you will succeed, you wait to try until you are ready. I even think you could walk if you wanted, but you are waiting till you can walk without falling much! For now, you love throwing things and playing "fetch" all by yourself. You stay entertained doing this. It's really fun to watch. You love your Mama & nursing. I'm not sure how you'll ever wean...but don't worry, I'm not in a big hurry! You can take your time. You don't like sippy cups very much, so all your fluid intake is from me :-) You also MUST have Mommy to go to sleep! Even if you just nursed, you have to suckle a little to get to sleep. Speaking of sleep, before you got your first ear infection, you had started sleeping 12 hours stretches. BOY, that was nice!! You also love sleeping on your cozy sheepskin. Ever since you got that for Christmas your sleeping habits improved drastically!
You are our picky eater. You mostly like hard foods (crackers) and cheese. I've tried all sorts of vegetables and you spit them out. You almost swallowed a piece of asparagus the other day though! Don't worry, I'll keep trying and you'll be loving veggies in no time (I hope!)
You have a mouth full of teeth. Currently 7 and one more just waiting to pop through! You LOVE to talk and have been doing so for months now. You try to repeat lots of things that we say. The latest include: clap & thank you. You are always making sweet little sounds and your favorite is still "UH OH!" The other night Daddy was in your room holding your brother and said that you were sleeping, burped, said "uh oh," and continued to snooze away. Today, I went in to get you from your nap because you were talking and when I looked in your crib your eyes were still shut! You are so precious.
You are also really good at mimicking facial expressions! Oh, it's just the best to watch you snort, make Roaring monster sounds, and just be silly. You know how to entertain us all! And boy, you can dance!! You LOVE music. Whenever it comes on you start shaking, pumping, swaying, clapping...you name it!
WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!
