1st Birthday Party

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY LITTLE BUDDIES!Today we had the party out at the playground and had a really nice time! The theme was "Monkey See, Monkey Do" ( I have twins...had to go with some cheesy duo theme :-) Even had cute little matching monkey outfits for them to wear. However, Ezra decided to have a huge blowout on the way to the party, so he got to wear the alternate monkey outfit. haha. He was not feeling so hot for most of the party (as you will see in the pic's). I actually remembered to charge my camera battery & when I turned it on to take the first pic, it said "NO card!" So...I had to settle for cell phone pic's! oh well.

I made little monkey cupcakes and larger individual monkey cakes for the boys. Of course, I had to make it banana cake :-) Yumm.Levi absolutely LOVED his cake. I've honestly never seen a kid dig into it like he did. At one time he even lifted the cake up. It was hilarious and he was covered by the end of it.
Ezra (as predicted) did not even want to touch his cake! Even if he was feeling great, I did not expect him to be too thrilled. He is our picky eater. He just looked at it like "what are you doing? Could you get that thing away from me." I tried to give him some icing from my finger and he refused.We had spent some time earlier in the week making sock monkey's for favors for all of the kids. It was fun to do, and hopefully a nice memory.I still can't believe my little buddies are ONE YEAR OLD! It's crazy! Can't wait to see what this coming year brings.
