Reminiscing

So...I found this video on my computer the other day and still just thought it was so amazing. I still can't believe there were 2 babies in my belly and now, we have these 2 precious little guys!! If you are bored and feel like reminiscing with me CLICK HERE to see the old blogpost and video I was talking about. What a miracle pregnancy and birth truly are! It makes my insides her to watch and. The feelings of them kicking every part of me comes back so vividly.

Blessed!

Stuff...

I feel like I haven't posted in forever. Guess we've been busy.
Last week our friends, The Philyaws came over for 3 days. It was so nice. The kids had fun during the day and us Mommy's had fun hanging out at night. Great to catch up.

What else? Elliot is still having a blast dressing up every day! She puts on the craziest outfits and has dance parties! She blasts her music so loud. I think the worst punishment I can give her is taking away her CD player...she loves her music like her Daddy! Speaking of him...she had a pretty rough day today. Just lots of disobeying, acting out, etc. She was sitting on the couch tonight and said, "I miss my Daddy." I think sometimes she misses him and doesn't really know how to communicate that and instead acts out. I guess I need to be more aware when this is happening.

The boys are getting so big. They like to try to stand up when you are holding them! Crazy! They'll grab your hands and pull up. They are enjoying toys and grabbing for things. I started Levi on cereal again. He was screaming when I would eat. I'd hold him and he'd try to grab the food off my plate. The first day he ate the cereal and the last 2 he's acted like he doesn't want it. Whatever. I just didn't want him to be hungry. Ezra was so close to discovering his own feet. The other day I had him and Levi on the floor and he discovered Levi's foot! He kept playing with it. It was adorable. They also LOVE holding hands. Whenever they are close, they are touching. Today they even had their fingers intertwined. Here's a picture of them on Elliot's bed watching her Dance party with Mimi (I'd post that pic but Elliot can't ever seem to keep her clothes on!) CLICK HERE FOR ALL OF OUR JULY PICTURES! (There aren't too many, I can't seem to get the camera out these days)

**ONE MORE THING: If you read our blog on a regular basis, why don't you become a FOLLOWER? Just click on the link on the top right of the blog. I would LOVE to know who is reading this! And, if I don't know you, why don't you introduce yourself? I've gone back and forth debating making our blog private (invite only), but haven't done it yet. Of course I know some of you who read regularly, but I want to know others. Please, Please, please do this--or I'm gonna have to switch my settings. It can just be scary not knowing who's reading about your fam.

Levi Giggling/Ezzy Talking/5 months old

Got a few videos of the boys.
Here is Levi giggling again:

Here's Ezra talking (He was being super camera shy, but talking is one of his favorite things to do and he's usually REALLY good at it):

one more of both the boys:

Monday they are 5 months old! It's amazing how quickly time goes by. They are both so wonderful. Ezra is getting very good at the whole hand-eye coordination thing and can grab toys placed in front of him. Levi had learned to roll from back to front! They love to smile and laugh. What big boys. I'd write more, but see...they still haven't mastered the whole sleep thing. I mean, I would really be HAPPY with 3 hours at a time, but we're still up every 1.5-2 hours ALL night long. whew. It's exhausting. Love these boys, but they are some work!

Can this week be over yet?

This week pretty much stunk! Monday night, I got some nasty stomach bug and puked more than ever. Tried to recoop some on Tuesday. Got no sleep Tuesday night, felt like doo doo Wednesday, so Mom & Dad got Elliot, while Andrea took the babies.

Thursday was decent.

Friday we had some fun.

Friday night as I got ready to lay down at 11:30, I hear screaming! Run to Elliot's room and she's holding her hands out. I think she has a bloody nose or something. Turn the lights on and there's puke everywhere. Get her to the bathroom, clean up, wash sheets/comforter, scrub floor. She pukes like 8 more times (and NEVER cries or gets upset). Finally get her back in bed about 3am. Ezra wakes up at 3:45 until 4:45. Levi wakes up at 6.

Do I wish Wes was here? Do I sometimes think thinking this job was a good idea was foolish? YES YES YES Oh well. We will survive! Looking forward to a better week next week.

Dinner Conversation

Our dinner conversation:

El: when is my next birthday?
me: December 28th
El: Why is it always December 28th?
me: That's the day you traveled out of my belly
El: How did I come out
*She TOTALLY knows how baby's come out & I think she just wants to hear me say it again*
me: you know, through the Vagina
El: how?
me: well, it stretches. God makes things perfect
El: Did it tickle?
me: NO! No, it did NOT tickle. It hurt! But you are worth it and I'd totally do it again!
...she asks some more question, but they aren't that entertaining.

a while later she's still eating and I'm on the couch feeding a baby and the following conversation takes place:

El: how is Boobie milk made?
me: Mommies bodies just know what to do when they have a baby
El: How does it come out?
me: well, we have milk ducts kind of like a bunch of little straws and the nipple is like a big straw for the baby.
*Amazingly, this answer satisfied her! yea!

I don't know about you all, but ever since I was little it seems like every dinner conversation some how ends in bodily functions?! Why is it no different now? haha.

Our Day

Today we had a "stay at home day" (as Elliot says). I finally got out the camera for a few minutes and took some pic's! yea! The boys were having their tummy time. Elliot played dress up, danced for a while and she watched 2 t.v. shows for the entire day. That's not too bad. Yes, she is sitting in the Bumbo! She loves sitting in it and has for a while now. Who knew a 3 year old would like it?

Caillou

Okay, I totally admit it: the last few days I let Elliot watch way too much T.V. It's kinda hard to feed babies, keep them happy, & entertain her. So, on goes the T.V. We saw the show Caillou the other day and it was actually semi-cute, so I recorded some shows for her. Yesterday and today I noticed her talking in this rediculously whiney voice! She'd stay stuff like, "But I don't want to" in this abnoxious manner. I kept telling her she had to stop speaking to me that way. She had a little break down before nap today and decided to tell me she had a sore throat. I laughed and couldn't figure out how she came up with that one. After nap, she wanted to watch the rest of her Caillou show. I go and sit by her on the couch, and there is little 'ole Caillou talking (or should I saw whineing) about having a sore throat!!

It is just amazing how quickly kids can pick up on things. Elliot really has only seen the show about 3 times. Farewell Caillou! There will be no more of you in our house. Hopefully the mopey voice will go away as quickly as I can delete the shows off our DVR!

Gyms

I would like to know why it's so rediculously expensive to join a gym?? Okay, maybe it's not that bad, but when you add 3 kids to the mix, it's get's pricey! Everything is like $100/month!! WOAH! The YMCA is a little cheaper, but it's not super close to our house. UGH! Oh well, we'll get in shape one of these days.

Playing

It's so fun now that the boys are getting interested in things! Today I got in the attic and pulled down the exercauser. They both LOVED it! They also like sitting in the Bumbo and trying to play with toys on the tray. It's hilarious to watch because they try really hard to get to their toy. They act like their hands weigh a hundred pounds. They were both able to spin the toy around though. Ahh, I just love when they are old enough to interact.
