I have quite a few recipes that call for Pumpkin Pie Spice. After paying $5 for a small container of it, I decided that was just TOO much. Considering cinnamon is the 1st ingredient, it can't be that hard to make! After some very quick research (Google!) I had my solution. It smells perfect! The following will make enough to refill a small spice container with a little room left for shaking/mixing.
Recipe:
4 tsp Cinnamon
2 tsp Ginger
1tsp Nutmeg
1tsp Allspice
I think this is much more cost effective given that the HUGE container of cinnamon pictured was only about $3 at Costco. I'm not sure how much ginger was, but Nutmeg & Allspice were each about $2.50. I could make a LOT of these refills using all of these ingredients, bringing the cost down dramatically!
